First Snows

Well, the trip to Edinburgh went well with some skatepark action and a fair old dose of retail therapy. We visited Transgression skate park http://www.transgressionpark.com and Saughton skate park. The children did very well and coped with all the others speeding around amazingly well.

The first few snow flurries for what seems like ages (definitely since christmas) have arrived. Nothing is settling at sea-level and I don't suppose it'll last very long...we'll have to wait and see.

Applecross School Blog

Yes, they have started a blog at Applecross school and I think it's well worth a visit, but then I'm biased as my children go there

Of all the things...

Well, back to some semblance of normality at last. Zoë still coughing, but in much better health. Sarah up and about, smiling again :-)

The frosty weather has meant that the shoes have stayed clean (of all the things to think about) and running has been easier in some respects i.e. not stumbling through bogs, but also the mud forms rock-hard pointy surfaces that can be quite unpleasant, especially in the barefoot shoes.

Temperatures have only just dipped below freezing here on the West coast, enough to freeze puddles etc but not enough to make life more difficult than usual. In fact, its probably milder here than London and the South-East at the moment.

But I like it and so do Andrew and Zoë, anything that encourages them to write has got to be a good thing.
